- Supervise the Chile tax team and company's indirect taxes including sales, use, accommodation, hotel/motel, transient occupancy, room, gross receipts.
- Manage teams' cadence to ensure deadlines are met.
- Monitor and assist with team tickets, emails, and notices.
- Improve the efficiency of tax processes and controls through technology.
- Research tax concepts and apply them to tax fillings and processes.
- Actively evaluate information for hospitality filings to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Review complex/intermediate work and guide tax accountants.
- Ensure team's compliance with SOX controls, team procedures, and company policies.
- Help set team goals and team metrics.
- Meet with team members weekly and mentor career growth.
- Support various business initiatives to assist with growth and indirect tax compliance.
- Educate and train team members on various indirect tax concepts.
- Other administrative tasks and projects as needed.
- Previous travel or industry related experience is preferred
- Bilingual English / Spanish required.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
- 7+ years of experience relevant tax experience
- Prior US tax experience or public accounting experience required
- Strong understanding of indirect tax
