We are looking for a Head of Operations who will be part of a growing team and have a chance to lead our multiple projects with cross functional deliverables. This position will report directly to the CEO of Dishcraft.
About the Role:
You will design, build and run a “first of type” service facility dedicated to cleaning customer food service items (plates, bowls, cups, glasses, etc) using Dishcraft created robotics and automation systems.
Recruit, hire, and manage the Operations team.
Plan delivery and pick-up routes, oversee fleet of trucks/drivers for optimal efficiency.
Identify, recommend and implement changes to improve productivity and reduce cost. Partner effectively with product, manufacturing, marketing, sales, customer success, service and support, engineering, to ensure the successful execution of the company’s strategic vision and direction.
Work with sales to ensure on-time customer deliveries and manage product allocations.
Monitor and analyze data for operational efficiency. Direct the establishment, implementation and maintenance of production standards.
Keep track of quantity, quality, stock levels, delivery times, transportation costs and efficiency.
Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets.
Set “engineering standards” with respect to process steps and generate operational metrics to best measure and improve process flow and throughput of the entire operational network
Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements.
Teach, coach and mentor operational personnel with respect to lean methodologies, team building, continuous improvement initiatives, quality and maintenance initiatives/activities.
Self-starter, hands-on manager, capable of achieving great things with minimal resources
Record of successful manufacturing process and logistics design and management
Experience in design, construction and operation of new manufacturing facilities
Start up experience
Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects
Proficient in lean, six-sigma, continuous improvement methodologies, root cause problem solving and demonstrated ability to train the trainer.
BS in Business Administration, or Operations
Engineering and/or technical degree a plus
