- Develops andadministers sales plans to ensure customer satisfaction, assignedquota attainment, good reference accounts, and highly skilled andmotivated staff.
- Partners with marketing to develop and implementsales marketing programs and initiatives.
- Determines annual salesand gross profit plan by implementing marketing strategies andanalyzing trends and results.
- Establishes sales objectives byforecasting and developing sales quota for territories.
- Projectsexpected sales volume and profit for existing and new product linesand customers.
- Maintains sales volume, product mix and sellingprice by keeping current with market supply and demand, changingtrends, economic indicators and competitors.
- Coordinates orderservice by directing account representatives and executives onquotations, proposals, project order management techniques, andcustomer complaint resolution.
- Establishes and adjusts billingmargin by monitoring costs, competition and market conditions andnegotiating cost side levels.
- Manages sales staff by recruiting,selecting, orienting and training employees.
- Maintains salesstaff results by coaching employees, planning, monitoring andappraising job results.
- Develops and maintains relationships withtop customers.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge byattending educational workshops, reviewing professional publicationsand participating in professional societies.
- Forecasts andcommunicates intricate details to senior business managers.
- Interfaces with internal support departments to establish positivecustomer experience.
- Partners with suppliers to maintain customerrelationships, provides training to staff, and executes marketingprograms and initiatives.
- Partners with various internaldepartments to troubleshoot issues such as inventory andoperations
- High School Degree orEquivalent required; Bachelor's Degree
- Sales, BusinessAdministration, Engineering, or relevant field preferred.
- Priorprofessional sales experience in related industry/5+ years
- Priorexperience with managing a sales team and sales programs/3+ years
- Working knowledge of business and management principles in strategicplanning, resource allocation and coordination of people andresources.
- Demonstrated understanding and execution of principlesand processes for providing customer and personal services, includingcustomer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, andevaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Strong verbal, written,analytical, persuasion and interpersonal skills.
- Ability toexercise teamwork, leadership, and flexibility.
- Excellent timemanagement and computer skills.
- 7 years related industryprofessional sales.
- 5 years managing staff and programs atnational, district or regional level.
- Ability to travel up to25%
