    BAT CHILE IS LOOKING FOR A SALES AREA MANAGER - PUERTO MONTT

    LOCATION: Puerto Montt, Chile

    ABOUT THE ROLE

    The Traditional Channel Sales Manager plays a pivotal role in our organization, responsible for leading a team of sales professionals, identifying lucrative business opportunities, and relentlessly pursuing sales targets within the traditional channel. This position demands a dynamic individual with exceptional leadership skills, a keen eye for identifying market opportunities in a multi-category environment, and a passion for achieving sales objectives, while promoting Digital transformation agenda.

    KEY RESPONSABILITIES

    Leadership and Team Management:

    Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales representatives to maximize their potential and performance.

    Foster a collaborative and results-driven team environment.

    Set clear goals in a multicategory base, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations to ensure the team's success.

    Ensure that Trade area is well trained and motivated in order that trade marketing and distribution representation is superior to the competition in respect of both core and added value services

    Opportunity Identification:

    Continuously analyze the traditional channel market to identify emerging trends, potential clients, and growth opportunities.

    Drive Digital agenda as main pillar to ensure Business Objectives achievements.

    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategies for penetrating new markets and expanding market share.

    Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including distributors, retailers, and partners.

    Sales Target Achievement:

    Develop and execute effective sales strategies and action plans to achieve or exceed sales targets and revenue goals, in a multicategory base (FMC, Partnership & Vapour)

    Monitor sales performance, track progress, and take corrective actions when necessary to ensure objectives are met.

    Implement sales tactics that align with the company's overall sales and marketing strategy.

    Market Intelligence:

    Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to adapt strategies accordingly.

    Gather market intelligence to provide insights for product development and pricing strategies.

    Continuous improvements of tools to maximize insights generation to activate operational initiatives.

    Develop and implement strategies to combat illicit competition within the channel. Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure the integrity of our market presence.

    Customer Relationship Management:

    Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key customers, addressing their needs and concerns promptly.

    Collaborate with the customer support team to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

    Ensure Trade area works in accordance to BAT's International Marketing Standards and all Corporate guidelines (SoBC, Antitrust...)

    CRITICAL EXPERIENCE

    Functional Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strategic Acumen: Demonstrated ability to think strategically, analyze data, and synthesize insights into actionable plans.
  • Business Partnership: Improve corporate position to favor mutual growth.
  • Leadership: Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams in the execution of strategic initiatives.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for conveying complex ideas to diverse audiences.
  • Market Knowledge: Understanding of market dynamics, trends, portfolio management and category management strategies.
  • Education/Experience:

  • University degree in fields such as Business Engineering, Administration, or related disciplines.
  • Experience: Minimum of two years' (34grade) or four years' (35grade) experience in strategic roles within a related industry, proven experience in different sales channels preferably in multi-category management.
  • Language:

  • Advanced level of English and Spanish.
