    International organization,dedicated to the design and construction of scientific observationprojects, is looking for a

    Construction Manager. Theprofessional shall support the PEM in all aspects of constructionmanagement, ensuring that the assets and facilities for the site areplanned and delivered on time and safetly. Also, the manager will haveto overview the performance, budget, deadline and quality standards ofthe construction.


    Functions:


    • Support the PEM indelivering the SEF construction products to agreed safety, quality,budget, schedule, and technical requirements.
    • Serve as the costaccount manager (CAM) for construction management (CM) contract.
    • Serve as the CAM for one or more SEF construction contracts.
    • Coordinate site construction activities with the CM and constructioncontractors.
    • Ensure that safety processes are properlyimplemented and enforced by the SEF team, the CM team, and contractorteams performing work at the site; ensure that safety requirements andstandards are properly flowed down in contractual relationships.
    • Ensure that contractor quality processes are developed and executedaccording to GMTO standards as defined by the GMTO Quality AssuranceManager, and implemented appropriately by the SEF team, CM, andconstruction contractors

    Essential skills, knowledge andabilities:


    • A minimum of a BS degree in Civil Engineering,Construction Management, or related field.
    • 15 years ofdemonstrated relevant and successful experience with internationalconstruction project management and construction contractmanagement.
    • Demonstrated experience working with projectmanagement, engineers, and construction management professionals, andcontractors in complex international construction projects.
    • Demonstrated understanding, experience, and success implementingconstruction project management principles.
    • Ability to preparedocuments, reports, and oral presentations.
    • Demonstratedleadership, organizational, and management skills.
    • Proven abilityto effectively manage competing priorities in a rapidly changingenvironment.
    • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently andcollaboratively in complex technical environments

    Otherrequirements:


    • Experience working on the building andcommissioning of groundbased observatories or largescale facilitiesof similar complexity.
    • Experience supporting the delivery ofinternational construction projects.
    • Experience with constructionprojects in remote and/or geographically high altitude sites.
    • Experience with complex construction projects in Chile or other SouthAmerican country.
    • Proficiency in spoken/written English a Spanish(e.g., CEFR B1 or better). #J18808Ljbffr
