About the Role:

As the Headof Innovation, Business Integration - Minerals Americas, you will leadthe Minerals Americas Innovation Business Integration team, providingthe strategic support and oversight required to deliver the Innovationstrategy across the Assets within the region.

This leader willembed customer, Asset, and Function priorities into the Innovationpipeline, overseeing the portfolio of innovation initiatives to ensurethese meet the needs of Assets and can be deployed in ouroperations.

This is a global search with the role to be basedin Santiago, Chile.
Main Accountabilities

• Define anddrive the Innovation strategy in collaboration with peers,articulating customer and Asset needs and priorities to informprioritisation and shape the innovation pipeline
• Translatecorporate objectives into actionable plans; communicating, managingand analysing the implementation of those plans, and reporting back ontheir progress to facilitate the delivery of the strategy
• Frame,evaluate and communicate the riskreward proposition of strategies,plans and decisions; improves investment methodologies, processes,capabilities and culture to enhance investment decision quality, tomaximise the longterm value of BHP
• Maintain a wide network ofimpact, integrating Functions, operations and regions to solve complexchallenges to drive strong Functional/Asset integration acrossBHP
• Accelerate Innovation initiatives by engaging with seniorstakeholders across BHP to remove blockers and secure requiredexecutive support
• Define and establish a best practicesinnovation culture and practices across Innovation that drivecollaborative behaviour
• Lead the Business Integration team indriving value for BHP through connecting the Innovation team with thebroader business
• Establish clear and effective accountabilities,ways of working, governance mechanisms and process for engaging withAssets
• Proactively engage with Assets to understand their needsand challenges to bring useful and impactful innovation that addressesthose challenges
• Strategically partner with Assets to identify,prioritise, pilot and deploy technologies
• Plan for and manageOperational Readiness to support customers and Assets in receiving andimplementing new solutions
• Identify opportunities for scalingtechnologies both within and outside of BHP past deployment
• Coachand develop the Business Integration function to ensure performanceremains consistent with best practice

Youwill establish credibility through your technical mastery, leadership,and excellent communication skills


Minimum requirementsare:

• Tertiary qualification (Bachelor's Degree) inEngineering, Economics, Strategy, Geology, Business, Mine Engineering,Management or equivalent; Masters or Advanced Degree preferred
• Extensive experience leading technical teams & implementing solutionswithin Technology, Business, or Mining fields; ideally across a matrixoperating model
• Demonstrated experience working across Miningoperations, ideally with brownfield expansion project experience
• Proven experience leading and influencing direct and in direct teamsand internal/external stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability toidentify early indications where innovation is needed in businessprocesses and systems, with the ability to tra
