We currently have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated
Sr Research Associate Double Haploid
to join our _Research and Development facility at Arica, Chile_**.

  • Plan, coordinate and manage execution of greenhouse and field production activities related to Maize Double Haploid. Ensure high quality results and on time delivery to our clients.
  • Ensure Greenhouse & Nursery conditions are optimal for production with proper environment control, IPM (Integrated Pest Management), and irrigation & nutritional management. Monitor daily/weekly operations and resolve minor maintenance requirements and other eventual issues cooperatively.
  • Review and evaluate production forecast (mid/ long term) and consider appropriates resources (supplies and workforce) to achieve production demand.
  • Track workload, resources, and results, using appropriate tools (database and software), to be able to control/predict deviations along the production process. Report production information and projected workload routinely.
  • Perform and verify, on a regular basis, fulfillment of CAMS and EHS&S standards, identify potential risk on performed activities, promote safety procedures and Core Values.
  • Lead and supervise the team in charge, establishing goals and objectives aligned with the site's strategy.
  • Monitor and evaluate the individual and collective performance of the team, providing constructive feedback.
  • Foster a collaborative and motivating work environment, promoting effective communication and teamwork.
  • Identify the training and development needs of the team.

  • MS University degree, University degree related experience on Agriculture, Greenhouse or Science required.
  • Minimum of 5 years in research experience preferably in corn and directly with doubled haploids, or at least 8 years of relevant work experience in Agriculture/Science.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills. Proven ability to work well with a wide range of people and different levels of workload.
  • Require excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and solution oriented.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory.
  • Strong interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills.
  • Diplomacy and negotiation skills to manage conflict situations.
