We're looking for an experienced SRE/DevOps Engineer with a broad range of technical and non-technical skills that embraces the importance of attention to detail and getting things done with mínimal supervision.

Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) is a discipline that combines software and systems engineering for building and running large-scale, distributed, fault-tolerant systems.

SRE ensures that internal and external services meet or exceed reliability and performance expectations while adhering to Equifax engineering principles.

SRE is also an engineering approach to building and running production systems - we engineer solutions to operational problems.

As SREs are responsible for overall system operation, we use a breadth of tools and approaches to solve a broad set of problems.

Practices such as limiting time spent on operational work, blameless postmortems, proactive identification, and prevention of potential outages.

What You'll Do
-
Work as part of a small team providing internal support to our Engineering organization and enable others to be more productive in what they do
:

Work with Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform, Prometheus, Helm, security, microservices, Gitlab CI/CD, etc
:

Provide scalable automation for deployment, testing, CI/CD, and solution support
:

-
Assist in the integration of Midigator technical assets into the larger Equifax landscape
:

-
Identify issues and propose solutions before they become problems
:

-
Embrace the importance of secure systems and improve the security posture of the Midigator environment
:

-
Remediate identified security vulnerabilities and ensure adherence to best practices and company standards
:

-
Perform code reviews, security audits and testing, and produce audit evidence
:

-
Write technical documentation to capture processes, policies, and procedures
:

You will engage in and improve the software development lifecycle from inception and design, through development, deployment, operation and refinement
You will influence and design infrastructure, architecture, standards and methods for largescale systems
You will support services prior to production via infrastructure design, software platform development, load testing, capacity planning and launch reviews
You will maintain services during deployment and in production by measuring and monitoring key performance and service level indicators including availability, latency, and overall system health
You will automate system scalability and continually work to improve system resiliency, performance and efficiency
You will practice sustainable incident response as part of an oncall rotation and through blameless postmortems
You will remediate tasks within corrective action plan via sustainable, preventative, and automated measures whenever possible

Must Haves

BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent job experience:

8+ years of experience developing and/or administering software in public cloud:

-
7+ years of experience in the DevOps/SRE space including solid understanding of Linux and network administration:

-
5+ years experience in Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform, CI/CD tooling, etc):

-
5+ years of experience in Amazon Web Services (IAM, EC2, VPC, S3, SQS/SNS, EKS):

-
4+ years of experience in containerization, Docker, and Kubernetes (EKS):

-
3+ years of experience with observability solutions including the Prometheus/Grafana stack:

-
3+ years of experience with Enterprise security best practices, implementation, and remediation:

-
Ability to code in Python to create automation and tooling:

-
Ability to interact with both technical and non-technical peers including occasional end-user support:

Ability to manage small projects:

Experience in languages such as Python, Go, Bash, JavaScript and/or
Demonstrable crossfunctional knowledge with systems, storage, networking, security and databases
System administration skills, including automation and orchestration of Linux using Ansible and/or containers (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
Proficiency with continuous integration and continuous delivery tooling and practices
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Experience managing Infrastructure as code via tools
