Purpose

To provide Engineering services in the Mining discipline to Worley and its customers that meet applicable legal and regulatory specifications, on time and within budget.

Key Accountabilities And Responsibilities

Preparation of mine designs and mine plans focused on underground and open pit projects and operations.
Participation in interdisciplinary mining projects (interaction with other disciplines; Geology, Geotechnical, Mechanical, Civil, Piping, Electrical, Instrumentation, Architecture, etc.).
Evaluation and design of processes in mining operations

:

drilling, blasting, haulage, developments, services (ventilation, pumping, backfill).

Design of underground and open pit mining infrastructure.
Design and simulations of transport and material handling systems in mining.
Underground mining ventilation system design and simulations.
Evaluation and selection of mining equipment (fleet type and size).
Estimation of human resources, materials and inputs required for mining projects.
Estimation of operating costs and capital costs of mining projects.
Evaluation of mining projects.
Participate in technical audits of mining operations (Due Diligence).
Other responsibilities assigned within the scope of his/her competence.

Requirements:

What you will bring:

More than 10 years of experience participating in the different stages of engineering studies (Prefeasibility, Feasibility and Details).

Education:

Civil Mining Engineer

Language:

Advanced conversational English

Key Competencies:

Experience in Operations, Planning and Project development.
Advanced knowledge of mine design and planning software

:

MineSight, Datamine, Vulcan, Deswik, Minesched, etc.

Knowledge of mining transport and ventilation simulation software

:

Promodel, VentSim, etc.

Knowledge of NI and JORC codes (preferably QP).
Knowledge of economic evaluation of mining projects.
Communication and teamwork skills

Location:

Las Condes, Santiago de Chile, Chile (hybrid).
