The Company

Globe 24-7 in partnership with a key client in Santiago are working together to source a highly capable and motivated professional to join our LATAM Resources Engineering team.

The Role

Reporting to the El Pachón Technical Services Manager, the role will be accountable for management and delivery of the Mine Engineering studies for the El Pachon Feasibility Study in line with Glencore Copper's Project Definition Guidelines and Standards.

The Responsibilities

Lead the El Pachon project in the planning execution and documentation of the mining studies to support the completion of the El Pachon Feasibility Study including:
Optimization, Mine Design and Scheduling.
Mining Fleet selection and technology optimization assessments.
Reserve Estimation and cutoff grade analysis.
Mine Operating and Capital Cost estimation.
Cover planning and execution of data collection programs, benchmarking and best practice studies requiring travel to other mining operations.

The Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Mine Engineering or similar.
15+ years mining industry experience across mining operations, corporate engineering/consulting and major project studies.
8+ years of experience at large open cut metals mining operations.
Significant capability in running mining technical services and mine planning departments.
Experience in developing and managing high performance teams with a high degree of autonomy.
Demonstrated experience in successfully delivering advanced mining studies (Pre-Feasibility and Feasibility Studies) to a high standard.
Exceptional written and oral communication skills in both English and Spanish.
Significant experience in communicating technical information and findings to senior personnel, including nontechnical audiences.
High business acumen and awareness, in order to provide recommendations and forecasts that may impact company's profitability.
Ability to travel to the El Pachon site in Argentina's San Juan Provence at an altitude of 4300m.
