Reporting to the Director of Operations, Summit Nanotech is looking for a highly organized and motivated operations trainer and coordinator to support the company's DLE Scale Up Facility Operations in Santiago, Chile and Field Operations in Chile.

This position will oversee the setup and vision of the training department, developing and facilitating content to both internal and external parties.

As time allows they will also help manage the various sites daily operational coordination task to ensure that everything functions smoothly.

He/she will work closely with the director to provide relevant information to help the operation optimize processes and workflow and meet its goals efficiently and effectively.

Communicating effectively, in both written and spoken Spanish and English is critical.


Responsibilities:


  • Work safely and actively participate in the department safety program.
  • Develop, implement and coordinate the training department and facilitate employee and client training on the technology and equipment.
  • Engagement in daytoday operations tasks, such as scheduling, logistics, and other department coordination.
  • Performing administrative tasks, such as meeting minutes, scheduling meetings, etc.
  • Support the work with another department managers to ensure that information concerning business processes is communicated to the rest of the organization.
  • Participate in developing and translating Spanish company policies, procedures, goals, and objectives.
  • Support and assist with other department onboarding process of new employees.
  • Maintains and updates documents on the shared server.
  • Schedule and coordinate vendors
  • Foster good working relationships with vendors and service providers.
  • Create and maintain records for all operational activities and file all documents properly.
  • Working with team leaders and supervisors to support departmental needs and goals.
  • Observing, reviewing, and analyzing processes to identify problems and areas where improvements could be made.
  • Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and reports related to operational activities.
  • Perform other related duties as designated by the manager.

Tasks**:

Training

  • Develop and implement operational training requirements, curriculum, and material for all site positions including plant management, supervision, operations, and maintenance.
  • Build out detailed how to guides in both English and Spanish for inhouse and client training programs
  • Ensure safety sensitive training meets regulatory requirements, industry recognized best practices, and organizational procedures.
  • Monitor training compliance, identify gaps, and implement solutions.
  • Train new hires and existing staff on company policies and procedures, in conjunction with HR and use the best training methods for a specific purpose or audience.
  • Gather and evaluate information from employees and management on previous training to identify weaknesses and areas that need additional training.
  • Evaluate employees and identify training needs according to needs according to technical knowledge gaps.
  • Inform employees on scheduled training and track their progress.
  • Ensures all training materials are maintained and wellresourced.
  • Translate (English / Spanish) operational procedures, processes, and workflows.
  • Lead communication best practices to ensure a common understanding of expectations.
Coordination

  • Assist the operation director in serving as a central point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Help supervisors to monitor inventory levels of supplies and equipment for maintenance.
  • Help in tracking project timelines and milestones to ensure timely completion.
  • Responsible for the establishment of meeting and agenda priorities and staff meetings within a very dynamic and everchanging environment
  • Supporting teams in the planning and execution of operations teams
  • Actively promote cooperation and communication between operations, maintenance, contractors, vendors, and all other stakeholders within the operation.
  • Work closely with operational supervisors and staff members to assist them with departmental KPIs
  • Maintain and update records, including employee shift schedules, project calendars, and operations expenses budget.
  • Assist with the management of daily operational activities.
