As a Back Office Intern, you'll be responsible for performing controls and reconciliations linked to the daily transactions and payment validations, documentation monitoring, regulatory reporting, and focusing on process re-engineering and automation.


Responsibilities:


  • Follow up on settlement instructions validation and input within the many reference data systems.
  • Draft, deliver and track all the documentations part of the business.
  • Elaborate regulatory reports to be submitted to CMF, BCCh and SII.
  • Affirm settlement amounts with the clients, as well as investigate and provide solutions to various queries from payments and confirmations.
  • Complete operations projects and ad hoc requests to satisfy new initiatives and operations/technology enhancements.
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

  • Strong logical/analytical mindset, with the ability to think outside the box and challenge the status quo.
  • Process flow understanding, including ability to understand current flows and linkage between systems and think how the process can be improved/streamlined.
  • Previous experience in Finance industry (operations roles) is preferred.
  • Availability to work from 9 am to 6 pm.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • VBA or equivalent knowledge in programming is a plus.
  • BA or BS degree preferred (either Economics or Industrial Engineer preferred).
