GL events operates in three main segments ; event organization; management of event venues

services for trade shows, conventions and events.

  • The Santiago site, managed by GL events, is owned by the Municipality of Vitacura. With a 40year concession starting on 27/06/2022, it offers 4,700 m2 of reception space, including 3,200 m2 indoors, 1,500 m2 of patios, and 12,000 m2 of outdoor areas. The site is designed to host corporate events, social functions, small conventions and quality trade shows. Among the FISA trade shows to be hosted are Expo Hospital 2022, the Bocuse d'Or Regional Final 2022, Transport 2023, and Hyvolution 2023 (first edition, with 2,000 expected visitors and 2,000 m2 of exhibition space)._
  • It is in this context that we are looking for our future Metropolitan General Manager M/F._

Position:


In this role, he/she is responsible for:

  • the smooth running of the site,
- compliance with external regulations and internal procedures,
- the place's social cohesion the quality of service provided by the venue,
- the reputation of the site


He/she is responsible for:
- the site's performance,
- relations with public and private bodies

- compliance with employment legislation

Oversees the operational management of the venue, in line with GL events' general policy and the directives defined with the Executive Director, by managing the following activities

  • Sales Management,
  • Communication & Marketing,
  • Operations Department,
  • Finance Department.
Defines the strategy and operational action plans of each department with the aim of optimizing performance:

  • Marketing & Sales: define the marketing plan in conjunction with the Corporate Marketing & Communications Department,
Design and improve offers,

Define and monitor pricing policies,

Define priority objectives,

Optimize programming and planning,

Monitor short
- and medium-term results and indicators.

  • Operations: optimize team organization and resources.
  • Finance: margins, results, cash flow.
As a general rule, Metropolitan's General Manager is expected to perform all tasks in the areas assigned to him/her. This job description is indicative and not exhaustive.

Bilingual English
