Reliability Engineer
Primary Purpose:
- Ensure equipment complies with all safety, environmental and other regulatory compliances
- Provide the necessary engineering and maintenance support to the production organization in order to promote the production of the highest quality product at the lowest possible cost
- Drive reduction in overall maintenance downtime, while maintaining equipment safety, quality, productivity and energy standards
- Continuously improve the planned maintenance optimization program to ensure compliance to the maintenance reliability strategy for each piece of equipment
Main Responsibilities:
- Ensure all safety, environmental and other required regulatory compliances have been scheduled and completed per requirements
- Provides technical support for plant utilities, service agreements, contract service orders and permitting.
Support plant breakdown maintenance by:
supplying technical support, participating/leading root cause failure analysis, and creating an engineering solution to design out maintenance issues when necessary.
- Lead efforts to meet maintenance objectives for planned work improvement, unscheduled downtime reduction and other performance indicators, monitor and report on the progress
- Continuously improve the optimization of the PM program and maintenance reliability strategy for each piece of equipment, ensuring that all planned activities are value added
- Manage the stock of supplies/materials and maintain appropriate inventory levels
Education and Certifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline
- English (Intermediate)
Experience:
- Minimum of five years engineering / maintenance management in an industrial environment.
- Experience in working with multidisciplinary technical team members to achieve cost effective goals.
- Equipment design experience, along with project engineering or project management role is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Requires the ability to direct crossfunctional work groups to achieve operational and facility equipment objectives, goals and timelines.
- Computerized layout, spreadsheet and database management.
- Requires strong organizational, communication, business, technical, analytical, planning and scheduling skills.
- Ability to understand plant layouts, capital estimating, team memberman computations, tire cost structure, manufacturing equipment processes.
- Demonstrated leadership and teambuilding skills.
- Intimate knowledge of maintenance best practices, and predictive maintenance concepts.
Experience in problem solving techniques a plus:
DMAIC, A- Experience with Plant Optimization a plus.
- Knowledge on ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001
