As part of this omni transformation journey, we are recruiting for the position of Construction & Facility Manager for the South American Sales Market.

(Chile, Peru & Uruguay)


Job Description:


As a Construction & Facility Manager, together with the head of Construction and Facilities Latam (C&F) you are responsible for all the C&F activities and you set the C&F strategy for your market, driving goals, and setting relevant targets to secure the long-term strategy is achieved.

You will collaborate with Regional Head of C&F and the stakeholders, and you are responsible for leading the C&F team.


Key areas of responsibility include:

Strategy, goals, and decision making._**- Have a good understanding of the construction, facilities, and real estate to secure that all processes in the market are optimized and adapted to the local needs/risks.


  • Based on expansion plans and historical information set ambitious short
- and long-term goals and strategy together with the regional head of C&F.

  • Overview the procurement strategy to secure business partners to enable expansion, service delivery and optimize overall investment and cost levels.
  • Set ambitious department goals and motivate team in achieving them.
  • Understand the business case behind each project to be able to drive negotiations and budgeting process in the targeted direction.
  • Align department goals with other department's goals securing expansion plan & KPI's.
  • Secure that the longterm regional strategy is reflected in all procurement
- and sustainability activities by working closely with your team members.

  • Set smart targets with actions and deliverables together with the team and follow up on their implementation.
  • You distribute projects and service scope workload to the team taking into consideration project complexity, size of service scope, opening dates and geographical/logistic aspects.
  • You delegate tasks and responsibilities efficiently and follows up on their completion.
  • Secure that projects are managed in a professional way and ready in time, with expected quality, to the best cost, in a sustainable and compliant way.
  • Drive alignment of quality expectations for stores and projects within the market and secure that the service scope delivery is meeting brand requirements and cost expectations.
  • Secure health and safety for all projects and stores.

Collaboration_**- You work in close collaboration with the Regional Head of Construction and Facilities to set and implement the strategy in your market.


  • You work in close collaboration with Expansion Manager and Sales Market Controller to secure the best overall result for the business.
  • You understand involvement of all other stakeholders and secure their input in the project time plan and service scope delivery.

  • Create conditions to enable performance of teams and individuals.
  • Identify and develop talents to build (future) organization and diverse teams.
  • Strengthen teamwork and foster cross functional collaboration.

Qualifications:


  • Degree in Construction, Civil Engineering, Architecture or Business Administration or equivalent work experience.
  • Have a good understanding about technical installations (such as HVAC, Fire Safety systems, electrical installations etc.), procurement, health & safety, facilities or construction management techniques.
  • Any certificate within the C&F field is meriting.
  • At least 5 years of relevant working experience from Facility Management, Construction and/or real estate, preferably within the retail industry.
  • Experience managing a team.
  • Experience from working in an international, matrix organization with several stakeholders and seniority levels.
  • Great communication skills with proven experience.
  • Knowledge in MS Office, more specifically Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI and MS Teams.

Fluent English and preferably speaks Spanish as well.
