We are actively looking for a Mid Level Software Developer to join our Santiago, Chile office as part of the FlexTerm Group.

FlexTerm runs digital versions of real companies to perform simulations, emulations and real time mirroring of their operations.

It is a real-time 3D digital twin platform where complex logistics systems are studied, designed, optimized, developed, and tested before being deployed into production.

It allows to model any kind of system; however, it is mostly applied to highly automated facilities such as ports, container terminals, automated warehouses, manufacturing plants, etc.

These systems typically integrate infrastructure, equipment, people, automatic control systems, sensors, complex business logic, artificial intelligence, and machine learning to perform a common goal.

As a Mid Level Software Engineer you will work closely with highly talented and experienced engineers to achieve the vision of FlexTerm in becoming the ultimate tool for planning, designing and testing complex automated systems.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Write unit and integration tests for new and existing functionality.
• Contribute to the overall platform vision, architecture and design.
• Excel with agile development methodologies.
• Manage and deliver FlexTerm studies, projects and solutions to clients worldwide.
• Develop a deep understanding of the client needs, their systems and processes.
• Architecture and propose solutions using the FlexTerm platform.
• Plan, track and report project progress.
• Develop simulation, emulation and digital twin models using the FlexTerm platform

Includes:

modeling real world equipment and devices, writing behavior logic in Lua, defining and exporting metrics, generating real time BI dashboards, running, debugging and validating models.

• Deploy and integrate the FlexTerm solution with other systems into the client's IT environment.
• Write final presentations and reports.
• Write technical documentation and user manuals in the team's wiki site in Confluence.

Qualifications:

• M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Computer Science or related discipline (Systems/Industrial Engineering, Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering ).
• 8 years of experience as software developer
• Proven education or experience in:
• Computer programming
• Data Structures and algorithms

• Database systems
• Networks and Distributed Systems

• Lineal Algebra
• Physics (Mechanics)
• Statistics and Probability
• Operations Research (mathematical programming/optimization)
• Desired experience in:
• Discreteevent system simulation
• 3D computer graphics and animation
• Realtime metrics/BI systems
• Container terminals logistics and operations
• Navis N4 TOS and/or other terminal operating systems
• AI/ML development
• CADD/GIS and 3D graphics modeling capabilities
• Fluent in a Clike programming language such as C, C++, C#, Objective-C, Swift, Lua, Java, Javascript.
• Desired skills:
• Low level 3D/VR libraries such as OpenGL, GLSL, Vulkan, OpenSceneGraph, PhysX.
• GUI frameworks such as Qt.
• Centralized logging platforms such as Elastic (ELK).
• Realtime BI dashboards with PowerBI and Grafana.
• Database systems

such as Influx, Elastic, SQLServer and Oracle DB, DB2, etc.
