The Work You'll Do

The Development Manager is responsible for growing and managing a team of aproximatly 8 direct reports, developing the next generation of Trust Services technology solutions, like digital signature, documents lifecycle management and ID verification.

Normally will span participation across multiple teams; responsible for products, practices and markets that impact multiple teams. This role requires a global focus with the ability to collaborate across locations and departments.

_More specifically, you will:
_

Lead and grow a team of Software Engineers through hiring, coaching, mentoring and inspiring all team members.
Be the voice of engineering in product development through an effective collaboration with product counterparts in your daytoday work
Define and advance modern and agile software development processes and help establishing good engineering practices.
Lead a team across the Sovos organization regardless of the team's physical location.
Grow the technical expertise within the team.
Be a point of contact for the Product Organization for strategic and roadmap planning.
Provide valuable Yearly Performance Reviews and accurate documentation on performance such as 9Box, Stack Ranking, etc.
Identify potential leaders in the organization and create a development plan
Take proactive action with underperforming employees, creating improvement plans when necessary.
Collaborate with other areas to identify opportunities for improvement and assistance; establishing Global partnerships.

What We Would Like from You

Ability to design, organize, manage, and delegate work in support of assigned objectives.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English.
You care about sound agile processes, development, reliability, and test automation.
