The Opportunity
The SOLA Business Development Manager will work out of our Chile location in the Diagnostics line of business.

This role will report to the SOLA GM IDEM (Infectious Diseases, Emerging Markets) and dotted line to LATAM Director of Business Acquisition, IDEM (Infectious Diseases, Emerging Markets) Business Unit.

The primary role is to drive commercial and strategic business plan that will provide new business opportunities and result in increase in market share, high volume, and efficiency for SOLA region.

This role will lead the strategy, planning and execution on a SOLA region level of several key strategic and tactical business opportunities initiatives, including:

  • Retail channel development
  • HCP office demand generation, including edetailing or other cost effective share of voice dissemination
  • E-Commerce broader penetration
  • Workplace segment development, with potential ventures with other ARDx divisions.
  • Connectivity solutions
Strongly contributes to development of innovative solutions to drive growth in SOLA Region. Manage the risks and drives opportunities till deal closing and implementation of solutions.

Build relationship and create customer relationships with key country stakeholders (Labor/Economy ministers, unions, lab vs retail confronters, key trade chambers, etc).

Decide on and assess the viability of business opportunities based on presented findings of market research or analysis projects.

Build and initiate high-level, significant relationships with potential partners, key decision-makers, and industry leaders to promote the organization's products and services.

Work with internal stakeholders to identify areas of interest to evaluate potential partners. Lead cross-functional diligence team to identify, assess and make recommendations regarding transactions risk and opportunities. Prepare presentations for LATAM executive management team with overviews, analyses, and financials of specific transactions under considerations.


What You'll Do

  • Responsibilities including Customer excellence, goto market strategies, sales planning, market & competitive intelligence.
  • Contributing to sales and marketing strategic decisions and playing a critical role in designing and monitoring commercial approaches
  • Lead the most critical, complex difficult meetings and negotiations with potential clients and business partners to pursue business opportunities and protect the business unit's interest.
  • Lead, direct, evaluate and develop a team of contributors to achieve established sales and business development opportunities.
  • Establish value proposition for selling solutions including connectivity, equipment and pos sales in new and existing customers
  • Translating strategic objectives into operational plans
  • Coaching and influencing SOLA team members to deliver high performance and promote SOLA IDEM Region Growth Values
  • Guarantee full compliance and ensure full adherence to OEC (Office of Ethics and Compliance) processes

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in one of the following areas: Business, Science, Digital business and/or related field.
  • Proven record of accomplishment of success implementing business generating value of > $ 10 MM/y of revenues in designated area with innovative solutions/initiatives.
  • Experience leading or working on Digital transformation programs
  • Experience leading solution selling businesses, including connectivity or innovative technology's introduction
  • Experience in remote management of teams in a global setting, especially in emerging markets
  • Fluent in English and Spanish (both mandatory)
- >4 years of work experience in Consulting/Project Management (preferable)

  • Must be able to travel up to 50%
