Descripción del empleo:


The professional will provide technical support to the Business Development unit during the entirety of the development process of its renewable energy project pipeline working alongside teammates from all disciplines within the company both locally and abroad.

The role requires good theoretical knowledge of mechanical and physics concepts related to renewable energy and fluid dynamics as well as a high willingness to learn fundamental skills to conduct project development.


Amongst the required tasks are:

  • Assist with layout design from the initial conceptual stage to the final construction stage.
  • Actively participate in interdisciplinary design and optimization efforts of wind farm designs within relevant constraint.
  • Assist in the analysis of wind turbine suppliers' technical documentation to help carry out appropriate project design, site suitability assessments, sitespecific power curve selection and turbine supply agreements.
  • Responsible for the management of meteorological stations and the location and installation of remote sensors, including the selection of instruments, for the development of new facilities or acquired projects.
  • Responsible for designing wind measurement campaigns and participating in monitoring measurements.
  • Provide technical information on different development activities, such as land lease negotiations, environmental assessments, permitting processes, financial evaluations, among others.
  • Study and maintain knowledge of industryleading methods, practices and standards (local and international).

Requisitos:


  • Strong desire to learn technical skills in renewable project development.
  • Between three and five years of experience in the development of wind projects.
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Geophysics (meteorology specialization) or related degrees with good theoretical background in fluid dynamics.
  • Knowledge of meteorological flow, technologies and forecasting is desired.
  • CFD modeling and mesoscale model knowledge is a plus.
  • Familiarity with meteorological data collection equipment (Lidar/Sodar/Met Mast), including data loggers and instrumentation.
  • Ability to communicate technical or meteorological concepts effectively to a broad spectrum of technical and nontechnical internal audiences, and to document them in concrete and understandable terms.
  • Advanced knowledge of the English language is strongly desired as the professional will require constant communication with Norwegian Wind & Site unit.
  • Desire to work in a multicultural and international environment with constant communication and interaction with other teams as well as external parties.
