Responsibilities:

Daily responsibilities will depend on the individual's background and the internship period


Duties may include:

  • Collaborates with programme/ project managers on administrative duties as requested.
  • Liaises with relevant parties on the interpretation of the activities/ services scheduled in the business plan.
  • Provides assistance on reporting requirements, guidelines, rules and procedures and ensures completeness and accuracy of the data submitted.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

To qualify for an internship with the United Nations Internship Programme, the following conditions must be met:
(a) Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); or,

(b) Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor's level or equivalent).

  • For this internship, studies in the area of commercial engineering, business administration, is desirable
Work Experience

For this internship, experience in business continuity management is desirable.

Languages
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat.

Fluency in English and Spanish is required. Knowledge of another UN official language would be an asset.


NOTE:
"Fluency" equals a rating of ''fluent'' in all four areas (speak, read, write, and understand) and ̈knowledge of ̈ equals a rating of ''confident'' in two of the four areas.
