The Product Owner (PO) owns effectively conveying the needs of clients and the business derectly to the development teams.

The PO is responsible for defining and prioritizing product requirements, engaging with stakeholders to understand market and system needs, and ultimately delivering quality software to help the company generate revenue and/or reduce costs.

The PO will lead the product roadmap initiatives through the product development cycle, including design, development, testing, documentation, release and training.


PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:


_Product Roadmap:
_


  • Conveys the vision of the products we are building to the scrum team through their ownership of the product roadmap
  • Defines in detail Features and Requirements matching goals and iniatives for implementation.
  • Supports development team in planning, estimating, and allocating resources appropriately in Jira

_Business and Technical Liason:
_


  • Develop, maintain and manage relationships with stakeholders, keeping them informed and engaged throughout release lifecycles
  • Acts as liason between development team and internal users or client facing teams to track issues or resolve problems.
  • Act as the project lead and key stakeholder liaising between USA and nearshore scrum teams
  • Maintains knowledge of core technologies supporting technology development of product
  • Engaged in all nontechnology related deliverables necessary for successful release of generally available product per the Product Development Lifecycle (PDLC) process
  • Leads team in analyzing business needs and technology choices
  • Prioritizes backlog to support product roadmap, and according to business value
  • Defines and applies acceptance criteria for feature and user story release
  • Participates in daily scrum meetings, and supports development team's ongoing questions, concerns, and feedback

Education/Certification/Knowledge:


  • Bachelor's degree in science or business, or equivalent
  • Scrum training preferred
  • Pragmatic Marketing training desirable

Experience:


  • 25 years in software development and/or technology management / analysis
  • Experience in data management is preferred
  • Technical depth of understanding deep enough to fluently converse with developers.
  • Expertise in business analysis, project scoping, and expectation management is required

Skils/Abilities:


  • Experience in SCRUM Agile methodology
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Business and technical savvy
  • Professional fluency in English
