The Senior Managing Associate General Counsel reports directly to the Assistant Deputy General Counsel of Litigation and Assistant Deputy General Counsel of Trials but also reports to the General Counsel of Operations & Deputy General Counsel of Operations.

The Senior Managing Associate General Counsel is responsible for managing a group of employees.

Essential Job Functions- Litigate First-Party insurance lawsuits.- Negotiate, write, and execute agreements and contracts- Ensure legal objectives are met- Keep abreast of legislative changes that may affect the company and its affiliates- Draft responses to civil remedy notices- Conduct examinations under oath- Provide leadership through mentoring legal support staff- Fully and effectively utilize available technology to oversee appropriate litigation strategies.- Manage a group of attorneys, paralegals, legal assistants, and litigation administrative assistants.

Marginal Job Functions- Conducts legal research and investigation on legal defenses- Develops oral and written advice and presents recommendations to management- Conducting legal research and drafting legal memoranda- Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Experience in litigation and a law firm environment
Ability to multitask
Problem Solving/Analysis
Law degree/admitted to the bar
Submission Requirements Please include a management Operational Plan proposal setting out the objectives and execution plan for processing an inventory of 100 new property damage lawsuits (50 weather and 50 non weather) per week for a period of 6 months.
