Glencore Copper are currently seeking a highly capable and motivated professional to join our projects team within our Regional Cu Project Portfolio. The role is accountable for the project planning function across Antapaccay CPF project in support to the Project Control/Services Manager, as well as assisting PMO (Project Management Office) and the Regional Planning Manager.
  • The role will supervise subcontractors' planning function and its related deliverables and as for contributing to weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reports to inform project leadership team with the status of the project. Also needs to provide information that feeds in CMF, Steering Committee, and Investment Committee as and when required. The role will ensure the procedures and standards provided by the PMO will be thoroughly followed.
  • The Planning-Scheduling Lead will support the growth and development of our projects in the region. This is a hybrid role based in Lima with FIFO to various project locations on demand.

In this role you will be responsible for:


  • The effective setup and execution of Project Planning procedures for Antapaccay CPF Project in accordance with the Copper CMF, Copper Department Procedures and Regional Guidelines.
  • Lead the Project Master Schedule for Antapaccay CPF meets all corporate requirements (Copper CMF) to successfully pass through IPR review leading to project sanction.
  • Continuous monitoring of project performance including subcontractors' performance and advising of critical deviations opportunely (Red Flags)
  • Support the Change Management Process, develop and maintain and schedule register and provide and/or evaluate Time Impact Analysis for
  • Foster a learning and continuous improvement culture to improve all aspects of project performance, sustainability and business growth, leading the identification and implementation of improvement initiatives, including portfolio opportunities for increased capital efficiency and productivity in the project control's function.
  • Train, guide, and coach Antapaccay CPF personnel (internal and external contractors and consultants where appropriate) on project controls techniques and the requirements for the correct implementation of the CMF.

About the profile:


  • Proven experience with greenfield projects across entire project lifecycle, from detailed engineering through commissioning, setting up project baselines and implementing updating and forecasting work cycles.
  • Proven experience setting up progress reporting systems for the various project phases: Engineering, Procurement, Construction, commissioning.
  • Extensive handson experience using Microsoft Project and Oracle Primavera P
  • Knowledge of earned value techniques.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to summarize large amount of data to convey specific messages to different stakeholders.
  • Ability to tiein and consolidate with full logic multiple thirdparty schedules from consultants and contractors into the project master schedule for progress reporting and forecasting purposes.
  • Proven experience developing, leading, and motivating teams.
  • Strong leadership and relationship building skills both including internal and external stakeholders.
  • Semiautonomous, selfmotivated, highly proactive, and resilient attitude.
  • Business, facilitation, analytical, leadership/ management and negotiation capabilities.
  • Commercial and financial acumen.
  • Advanced written and oral skills in both, Spanish and English
